The Setting: Almazara Rancho Olivares
As Mexico’s largest olive grove and a historic precursor to the region’s modern wine movement, Almazara Rancho Olivares offers a subtle rustic quality that evokes the ancient groves of Greece. Just two hours south of San Diego, this active ranch provides couples with exclusive access to their property of over 100,000 olive trees. Because these trees never lose their foliage, they offer a consistent, silvery-green palette that gently diffuses the surrounding light.
Mary and Noah held their ceremony within the grove, the rows of trees softened by organic floral arches. For the reception, the celebration moved to the Plaza, an expansive alfresco setting tucked between the generations-old groves and the antique stone mill.
Baja Meets Mediterranean For This Valle De Guadalupe Wedding
The aesthetic was a sophisticated reimagining of vintage Hollywood with a warm, Baja twist. While the starting point was a classic black-and-white palette, the day was sprinkled with pastel spring hues in the florals and the bridal party’s ensembles.
The design details were completely cinematic: dramatic drapery enclosed the reception space, while a large-scale projection reading “And they lived happily ever after, The End” felt like a frame from a mid-century film. At the center of it all, a checkered marble dance floor sat beneath a massive, structured greenery installation, bridging the gap between grand design and playful fun.
The Couple: Fashion & Love
Mary and Noah brought a palpable energy to the space. Mary’s look was a vision of classic drama: a structured lace ballgown with a cathedral-length veil, accented by a daring pop from her red kitten heels. She later transitioned into a champagne-colored tulle gown for the dance floor. Noah balanced tradition with a modern edge, pairing a white tuxedo jacket and slim, cropped trousers with Nike Jordan 1s.
